“Maybe I’ve already lived too long,” Ashildr said softly. “It’s cold…” She was having trouble keeping her eyes open.
He gave a small huff. “I’ll think about it,” he stood up to check the monitors. “For now? You just focus on getting rest. Depending on how you feel, I could probably discharge you tomorrow.”
Ashildr nodded, “Fair enough. If you could limit the number of nurses checking on me, I’d be grateful. I don’t want questions I can’t answer,” She thought he might understand that.
“The nurses will be busy with other patients. I can put you under my full charge for the night. I have the night-shift anyway,” he nodded. “No one but me will bother you.”
