“Maybe I’ve already lived too long,” Ashildr said softly. “It’s cold…” She was having trouble keeping her eyes open.
“The nurses will be busy with other patients. I can put you under my full charge for the night. I have the night-shift anyway,” he nodded. “No one but me will bother you.”
“Thanks. I appreciate it. Really,” She nodded. “I hope you’ll bother me occasionally. I quite like your company.”
He huffs a laugh. “I think you’re the only one in this town who likes my company,” he smiled at her. “I’ll try stop by later after my rounds.”
