Ashildr was thrashing in her sleep when Victor woke her. She panted to catch her breath looking around. “Did I…Did I hurt you?”
A frown crossed his face as he listened to her brief words. “That’s not going to happen anytime soon Ashildr. It was just a dream.” He replied, unsure of how to comfort her. He had never been good at comforting. Victor was used to dealing with nightmares alone, now that he was witnessing it happen to another, he was at a loss.
“It already happened,” She corrected. “It just had a different ending,” She shook her head. “There’s much you don’t know about me, Victor. I doubt you will like to hear it.”
“Would I be here if I didn’t want to hear it?” He countered, leaning back to see her properly. “If there’s so much I don’t know, tell me.”
