When she sat next to him on the bed, he glanced up at her. “You do know how bad that is right? Especially with all the chocolate. Basically a heart attack waiting to happen.” He said, his doctor side taking over for a brief second. “You should try more fruit. As the saying goes, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.”
A brow rose and she turned her attention to Victor. “You’re reprimanding me for what I’m eating now?”
“It’s not as if I don’t eat a well balanced diet. Sweets aren’t that bad in moderation.” Clarice argued. “People call me uptight and yet here is a man claiming the evils of cake.”
“I’m not claiming cake is evil. But it is unhealthy and I am a doctor so forgive me for going into doctor mode,” he huffed, putting one of his arms behind his head. “Besides, you scold me for drinking all the time. Am I not allowed scold you every once in a while?”
